Temazcal Experience at EduVentura

Take a spiritual journey in a Mexican Temazcal, a traditional Pre-Hispanic sweatlodge and participate in an ancient ceremony performed by the Mayans, Aztecs and many other pre-Hispanic people. Experience the benefits of this ritual cleansing as water and herbs are poured over the hot volcanic rocks and steam saturates your skin. It is an elemental experience rich in tradition. After the Temazcal, cool yourself in the refreshing waters of a cenote (swimming grotto).

You will find cleansing for the body, mind & spirit in a Temazcal experience consisting of four "puertas" which means doors alluding to the process of entering and exiting the heat / steam and aroma therapy, each time dipping into a beautiful recreation of a Cenote or cool, fresh water grotto. The results are felt immediately and are lasting including a sense of wellbeing difficult to acheive in a conventional spa experience and are longlasting.
